The toilets in this collection
This collection groups toilet suites and pans from Caroma, Turner Hastings, Fienza and Bao, in three kinds: suites with a concealed cistern, suites with a visible cistern, and pans for an in-wall build. The first decision is the cistern. Choose the pan, the cistern and the flush plate together before the wall is framed and tiled, and ask a plumber to confirm the trap, the set out, the inlet and the connectors. The main toilets guide explains each measurement.
Concealed cistern suites
The Caroma Invisi Series II suites hide the cistern in the wall, so each needs an in-wall setup. Read in wall concealed toilets first. The Urbane II suite has a 449mm pan height and an S trap set out of 60 to 120mm. The Urbane Invisi suite has a 395mm pan height and a 570mm projection. The Luna Cleanflush and Luna Slim Invisi suites have a 395mm pan height and a 610mm projection. The Contura II suite has a 440mm pan height, a 570mm projection and a set out of 60 to 200mm.
The Liano suites have a 435mm pan height and a 655mm projection, with an S trap set out of 60 to 200mm and a P trap set out of 185mm. The Riviere Invisi suite has a 435mm pan height, a 570mm projection and a 982mm overall height. The Urbane II Compact has a 500mm projection and a back inlet only, and the Contura II wall hung suite has a 405mm pan height and a P trap only. Wall hung toilets covers what the wall must carry, and Caroma toilets has the full range.
Suites with a visible cistern
The Contura II close coupled suite has a 440mm pan height, a 655mm projection and a set out of 60 to 200mm. The Riviere close coupled suite comes in back entry and bottom inlet versions, in white and matte white. It has a 435mm pan height, a 660mm projection and an 870mm overall height, and its box lists the suite, a seat, a fixing kit and the installation instructions. The Profile II lists a Mirage pan, a Profile cistern and a soft close seat but no sizes.
The Fienza RAK Washington has a 400mm pan height and a 705mm projection; see RAK toilets. The Fienza Lillian back to wall suite has a 400mm pan height, a 680mm projection and an S trap set out of 90 to 160mm, and its box lists the pan, the cistern, an S trap connector and a seat. Close coupled toilets explains that style, and Fienza toilets covers the range.
The Turner Hastings Fino WhisperFlush suites have a 440mm pan height and a 680mm projection; see Turner Hastings Fino whisperflush toilet suites. The Bao Elegant raised height suite in matte white has a 440mm pan height and a 670mm projection; see Bao toilet suites and matte white toilets for the matte finishes.
What the Caroma sheets say about the Urbane II Invisi suites
The Urbane II Cleanflush Invisi suites pair a wall faced, rimless, back inlet pan with the Invisi II concealed cistern. The specification sheet for the Urbane II Luxe version is dated March 2022 and carries a DRAFT mark with a note that adjustable flush pipe information was added, so ask for the final issue before relying on it. It is headed as a sanitary compartment for ambulant applications and says the suite is suitable for installation to comply with AS 1428.1-2021 Amendment 1, with the installer told to refer to the standard for circulation space and grab rail requirements.
The sheet gives a universal trap for S or P installations and a fully glazed 50mm back inlet for the concealed cistern. It gives a recommended S trap set out of 90mm with a range of 60mm to 120mm and up to 50mm of sideways adjustment, which matches the 60mm to 120mm range on this page. It also describes the adjustable flush pipe: if the pan inlet hole is higher than the flush pipe because of tiling height variations, the flush pipe can be raised by up to 25mm.
The push buttons and access plate are supplied separately, in chrome, black, brushed brass, brushed nickel and gunmetal grey, so a suite on this page may arrive without the button you expect. The seat is a soft close quick release thermoset seat with GermGard antibacterial protection and stainless steel seat caps, with optional caps in brushed brass, black or gunmetal grey. The antibacterial claim is the maker's description and the sheet gives no test figures.
Contura II, close coupled and wall hung
The Contura II close coupled sheet is revision 0, dated 18 April 2024. It gives an overall height of about 865mm, a pan height of 440mm and a projection of 657mm. The set out range is 60mm to 200mm, with 140mm recommended and up to 50mm of sideways adjustment from the Uni-Orbital connector. The cistern is available in back entry or bottom inlet, and the back entry version includes its stop valve concealed in the cistern. The working pressure is 30kPa to 1000kPa and the cistern is described as rainwater tank compliant.
The sheet says the Contura II comes in white, matte white and clay. The cistern button is supplied in chrome, with brushed bronze as the optional alternative. The soft close quick release thermoset seat has GermGard protection and stainless steel seat caps, with brushed bronze caps optional, and the seat is available in the three body colours. The pan fixing notes match the other Caroma sheets: a 3 to 1 sand and cement bed 60mm deep, no lime or fast drying cement, the back of the foot about 10mm above the finished floor, and the D82 concealed fixing bracket supplied.
The Contura II wall hung suite uses the Invisi II cistern and a wall hung pan with a back inlet. The sheet lists the trap as P trap only, unvented, which agrees with this page. The bracket options are the same as the Liano: two Invisi II brackets and a bolt through the wall bracket, all for non compressible wall materials only. The drawing shows a frame of 400mm to 420mm, and it shows the pan waste within 170mm of the finished wall with the Invisi II wall hung waste connector. The push buttons and access plate are supplied separately in chrome, black, brushed brass, brushed bronze and brushed nickel.
Liano: standard and easy height
The Liano Cleanflush wall faced technical manual is revision 0, dated 14 October 2021. It gives an overall height of about 830mm, a recommended set out of 140mm, and a range of 60mm to 205mm. The cistern is back entry only, with the stop valve and flexible tube concealed in the cistern. The pan is a washdown rimless pan with a fully glazed trap. The seat is a Liano soft close quick release seat with GermGard protection, a solid section compression moulded seat with buffers and metal hinges.
The Liano Easy Height sheet, dated July 2018, describes a raised height seat. It says the suite is aimed at aged care applications where a raised seat makes the toilet easier to use for people with restricted movement, and that it can also be used in domestic and commercial projects and in ambulant compartments. The seat is a Liano Care single flap or double flap soft close seat, offered in white, Sorrento Blue and Anthracite Grey, and the round button is supplied with other options sold separately.
One detail separates this sheet from the others. It refers to AS 1428.1-2009, while the Urbane II sheets refer to AS 1428.1-2021, so two sheets in this collection cite different editions of the access standard. If the work is an accessible compartment, the plumber and the certifier should work to the edition in force and not to the sheet. That is another reason to ask the supplier for the latest issue.
Luna Square, and the rest of the Luna family
The Luna Square Cleanflush sheet is revision 3, dated October 2019. It gives an overall height of about 805mm, a set out range of 60mm to 205mm with 140mm recommended, and a choice of bottom inlet or back entry. The pan is rimless and wall faced, with a universal trap, and the seat is a Luna Square soft close quick release thermoset seat. The accurate wall set out for the half inch nipple matters here, since the sheet calls it essential. It sets the nipple to project 22mm from the finished wall.
Urbane II Compact and the Profile II
The Urbane II Compact installation instructions, issue 2 dated 7 June 2023, have a few steps worth knowing. The D82 concealed fixing brackets sit on the pan centreline 160mm from the finished wall. The inlet pipe is fitted with a keeseal, and the pan collar and keeseal are smeared with a soap solution so the pan pushes on. The inlet pipe has a minimum length from the finished wall of 25mm. The pan is levelled into the bed with the foot about 10mm above the floor, or fixed with a bead of acetic cured silicone sealant no more than 5mm high when finished. The instructions recommend caulking the joint between the pan and the finished wall with the same sealant, and they allow at least 24 hours for the sealant to set before use.
The Profile II close coupled instructions are also issue 2, dated 7 June 2023. They show a recommended S trap set out of 140mm and a P trap pan height drawing. All dimensions are to the underside of the foot of the pan, they state, so a height allowance for bedding is important. They repeat the warning not to use the pan screw holes as a guide for drilling, because that may crack the pan.
The Fienza RAK Washington sheet
The Fienza sheet for the RAK Washington, updated 1 April 2024, describes a traditional vintage style close coupled suite with a boxed rim pan and an alpine white finish. It lists a UF soft close seat with stainless steel hinges, a Geberit flushing mechanism, a left or right bottom inlet, and a choice of P trap or S trap. It also lists concealed floor fixing screws and a WELS 4 star rating at 4.5 and 3 litres with a stated 3.4 litre average flush. It states a projection of 705mm and says it is made in the UAE. A separate code is given for the P trap and the S trap versions.
The sheet carries a tolerance note: for ceramic products, allow plus or minus 10mm for manufacturing variance, and always use the measurements of the actual product received for final specification because the drawing may differ. Its care notes say to clean only with a soft cloth or sponge using warm water and mild soap or detergent, and to avoid abrasive materials, solvents and corrosive liquids. That is the same advice the Caroma button leaflets give. The 10mm tolerance is worth remembering when a pan has to fit a tight room or sit close to a wall.
Reading the numbers across several families
Across the sheets, the 4.5 and 3 litre dual flush and the 4 star rating are the constant. The set out ranges differ: 60mm to 120mm for the Urbane II Invisi, 60mm to 200mm for the Contura II, 60mm to 205mm for the Liano, the Luna Square and the Luna Cleanflush, and 60mm to 185mm for the older Luna. Recommended figures run from 90mm to 140mm. A waste near the wall suits the Invisi suites, because the pan sits close and the range is short. A waste further out suits the wall faced close coupled suites, whose ranges are longer. Measure first and then choose the family.
Pans for in-wall builds and the sheets that go with them
Several listings are pans with a Geberit Sigma cistern option, in Liano, Luna, Urbane and Urbane II versions, and they give no box list, so confirm what is supplied before you order. The Fienza Koko matte black wall faced suite is a pan and seat only, and the cistern is not included. A pan sold for an in-wall build is only half the job.
The Caroma Invisi II booklet, revision H dated August 2023, describes service access options for the cistern, including in wall access through the button panel window, in duct access, in ceiling access and under counter access. It gives a minimum in wall cavity depth of 90mm for the wall hung bracket versions and requires installation to AS/NZS 3500.1. A Geberit frame has its own cavity depth and access rules. Whatever the make, someone needs to be able to reach the cistern internals after the wall is tiled, so choose the access plate and the buttons with the cistern, before the wall is lined.
The Geberit Sigma cistern option for in-wall pans
The Sigma option listings give no detail on the frame. A plumbing supplier's installation instructions for the Sigma8 Duofix mechanical concealed cistern, published 1 February 2026, show what such a cistern asks of a wall. That document is for the wall hung version, so it is a guide to the type of work and not to the exact cistern in each listing. Ask which frame comes with the option you choose.
The document lists the tank as a high density impact resistant blow moulded one piece tank for in wall use, with installation types for a pre wall, an in wall and a stud wall of 80mm minimum. It gives a load rating of 400kg, an operating pressure of 100kPa to 500kPa, and mechanical front press operation that it describes as suitable for pneumatic or electronic operation. It says spare parts will be available for 50 years and gives a technical support line. It also lists compatible flush plate options and an optional odour extraction unit.
The instructions show three wall types: a stud wall, a steel frame and a brick wall, and for the brick wall they note that the fixing set is not supplied. The wall type decides the fixings, and the fixings may be bought separately, so raise it with the plumber before the wall is built. The pressure range is also narrower than the Caroma Invisi II cistern, which runs from 30kPa to 1000kPa, so the plumber should check the pressure at the house.
Plumbers are also told to leave a copy of the installation instructions with the end user for future reference. Keep that copy with the specification sheets and the compliance paperwork. When the pan, the frame, the flush plate and the wall lining come from different suppliers, the instructions are the only document that ties them together.
Questions to ask about these toilets
Ask for the final issue of the Urbane II Luxe sheet, since the one linked carries a draft mark. Ask which edition of AS 1428.1 applies to the Liano Easy Height sheet. Ask what button and seat come in the box for each suite, since the Invisi buttons are supplied separately. Ask which of the pans for an in-wall build is sold with a cistern and which is sold as a pan only. Ask the plumber to measure the waste from the finished wall before the order is placed.
