Love It or List It: Buderim Bathroom Makeover

Set in the lush hills of the Sunshine Coast, this Love It or List It Australia episode follows Brooke and Mick as they decide whether to stay in their much-loved Buderim home or start fresh elsewhere. With three outdated bathrooms in need of a major lift, Neale and the design team turned to The Blue Space to help transform the main bathroom and two ensuites into modern, calming and beautifully functional spaces. The result is a cohesive trio of rooms that breathe new life into the home — and remind the couple why they fell in love with it in the first place.

A fresh start for three bathrooms

Across all three bathrooms, the design direction focused on warmth, simplicity and a clean materials palette. Natural timber tones sit comfortably alongside refined metallic accents, giving each room its own feel while maintaining strong visual continuity throughout the home. The Blue Space supplied the full suite of vanities, shaving cabinets, tapware, basins and toilet solutions — each chosen to elevate the layout and deliver modern, effortless functionality.

Curves, calm and cohesion

Soft curves and warm timber textures form the foundation of these Buderim spaces. Ingrain’s Grooved and Curved Wall Hung Vanities act as sculptural focal points, while the Ingrain Ash Pill and Horizontal Pill Shaving Cabinets introduce gentle shapes and natural depth for a serene, coastal feel.

To complement the cabinetry, Bao’s matte white above-counter basins create a clean, and modern counter profile, the Bao Elegant free standing bath is a stunning feature, and the Bao Elegant Raised-Height Toilets carry the minimalist look through. Finishing the palette, brushed-gold accents from the Nero Bianca collection add understated luxury without overwhelming the design.

Colour, texture & cohesion

A carefully restrained colour story ties the three bathrooms together. The warm ash timber of the Ingrain range grounds each room, soft green and grey tile hues, while the brushed-gold finish of Nero Bianca tapware and accessories brings a subtle sense of sophistication. Twin showers, mixers, backplates, robe hooks, towel rails and even gold flush plates repeat consistently across the spaces — resulting in bathrooms that feel individually tailored yet unmistakably part of the same home. We love the Avalon White Lappato Porcelain and Cottesloe Ming Green Stone tiles to recreate this look.

Spotlight on Ingrain

The standout across all three bathrooms is the Ingrain Ash vanity collection. In the main bathroom, the Ingrain Grooved Vanity immediately lifts the space, with its curved detailing and warm timber grain adding refined coastal character. Paired with the Ingrain Pill Shaving Cabinet, the layout achieves a perfect balance of beauty and practicality.

In the ensuites, the Ingrain Curved Wall Hung Vanities echo the same soft forms and natural warmth, ensuring each bathroom feels harmonious while still offering its own moment.

Space planning & practical elevation

In the main bathroom, generous proportions allowed for a twin-shower and double-vanity setup, elevated by Nero Bianca brushed-gold fixtures for a clean, contemporary finish. The ensuites, with more compact footprints, rely on Ingrain wall-hung vanities and Bao wall-hung toilets to keep the rooms open and functional, with the Bao Elegant Raised-Height Toilet adding comfortable practicality.

Bao above-counter basins and Ingrain pill-shaped shaving cabinets ensure a streamlined counter profile, while Nero Bianca brushed-gold floor wastes and tile-insert grates carry the metallic palette right through to the final details.
