Project Cliff Street, Brunswick
A family home reimagined

Some homes evolve with you; others invite you to begin again.
For Rebeka and the team at BuildHer Collective, the renovation of Project Cliff Street was both a full-circle family project that transformed a much-loved Brunswick home into a layered, liveable sanctuary, realised in collaboration with The Blue Space, Meir, and Timberline.

Designed for real life

What began as a strategic investment in 2010 has become a story of heart and heritage. Rebeka’s sons, both carpenters, joined her on site to reimagine the double-fronted home from the ground up, a place where craftsmanship meets comfort and where good design quietly enhances everyday moments.

The architectural vision by Obi Architects focused on natural flow: wide-plank oak flooring connects spaces seamlessly, while warm tones, stone textures, and soft light create a sense of grounded calm. Every material choice serves both function and feeling, practical, enduring, and tactile.

The Bathroom, where calm meets craft

In the bathrooms, elegance unfolds through layers of restraint. The Timberline vanity, crafted with signature precision, anchors each space with sculptural simplicity, its form enhanced by Bao’s White Above-Counter Basin and the soft curvature of Meir’s Chrome Wall Mixer and Curved Spout.

The combination of polished chrome and matte surfaces captures light beautifully, while subtle details from the Meir Basin Pop-Up Waste to the Round Double Towel Rail and Toilet Roll Holder deliver a consistency that feels intentional rather than ornamental.

Refined yet quietly functional, the Bao Wall-Faced Toilet with concealed Geberit Cistern maintains clean lines and visual flow, complemented by Ingrain’s Brushed Nickel Mirrors, softly backlit in the master ensuite, and brushed metal framing throughout the secondary bathrooms. Together, they create a rhythm of reflection, warmth, and light, bathrooms designed not just to be seen, but to be felt.

The Laundry, function with finesse

Even the practical zones received a design-led approach. The Lavello Sink, paired with Meir’s Chrome Round Gooseneck Tap, introduces an architectural silhouette that feels as considered as any feature in the home. Every surface, from the limestone batons underfoot to the joinery above, speaks the same quiet design language: functional beauty, refined.

Built to last, designed to feel

Across Cliff Street, the collaboration between BuildHer Collective, The Blue Space, Meir, and Timberline celebrates a shared belief that good design should make daily life effortless. Every selection, from tapware to vanity, was chosen not just for its look, but for its longevity.

The result is a home that feels cohesive, calm, and complete. It’s not over-styled or precious, it’s built for dinners, family, and life as it happens. Because the true magic of design lies not in how perfect it appears, but in how comfortably it’s lived in.
